Since 1971, ICAS has proudly represented and empowered the people of eight North Slope villages, preserving Iñupiat traditions and values. We are dedicated to self-governance, stewardship of our land and resources, and the preservation of our rich culture.

The Iñupiat Community of the Arctic Slope (ICAS),
established in 1971 under the Indian Reorganization Act, is a tribal government representing the Inupiat people of the Arctic Slope region, aiming to exercise sovereignty, conserve resources, and provide services for current and future generations.
