Oversees the financial management of the Tribe’s organizational budget, while adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures and funding agencies’ requirements; to assure our constituents and funding agencies are being served as set forth in grant agreements and tribal policies.
Financial Accountability
We are committed to responsible and transparent financial management. Here are some key highlights:
- Successful Audits: We successfully completed the 2023 Financial Statement Audit and Federal Single Audit, receiving an unmodified (clean) opinion from auditors. This is the most favorable audit opinion and reflects the reliability and accuracy of our financial statements.
- Timely Reporting: Our audit report and financial statements were submitted on time to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse.
- Compliance: We remain in compliance with all Federal requirements, and all necessary reporting is completed in a timely manner.
- Upgraded Accounting System: In January 2024, we transitioned to a new accounting system called AccuFund. This true fund-accounting system allows for greater accuracy and enhanced reporting capabilities.
We prioritize sound financial practices to ensure the long-term sustainability of our programs and services for the benefit of our community.
