With a tribal enrollment of over 14,000 members, the Tribal Operations department plays a crucial role in coordinating services and support between ICAS and the villages. We are dedicated to assisting our communities in exercising their inherent right to self-governance and ensuring their voices are heard.
Our mission is to strengthen tribal operations and community connections across the Arctic Slope. This involves providing reliable services to village councils, empowering local leadership, and fostering open communication between all stakeholders. We work closely with village liaisons to address concerns and implement solutions identified through resolutions, ensuring that the needs of each community are met.
The Tribal Operations team is committed to serving as a reliable partner and resource for the Inupiat people. We believe that strong tribal governance and effective communication are essential for building thriving communities. We are also excited to announce the upcoming launch of a Tribal Identification Card in 2025, further supporting our commitment to enhancing services and strengthening our collective identity.
